Hair Style Tips for Mother of the Bride

Mother of the Bride Hair Style TipsAh yes, it’s your daughter’s wedding and you are the proud mother of the bride! Apart from the responsibility involved, you also need to look your very best during the big day. But, you must also keep in mind that you don’t want to dress up too much to steal attention away from the bride.

Ok, so that is the big secret of what NOT to do; but of course, this ultimately begs the question of what you should do.  And one of the things you should do is pay special attention to your hairstyle.  As such, here are some tips that are helpful whether you’re the mom, bridesmaid, or even a random wedding guest.

After choosing your dress, it’s important to match up the right wedding hair style to go along with it, and we have a few tips for you on that.  Since, as you already know you do not need to overdo yourself, just keep your hairstyle simple. If you have short hair, it’s the easiest to prepare for – just sport a few clips and accessories to keep your hair pinned up behind the ears. Slightly part the front of your hair and you will be ready to go!

If you have medium length hair, the best option is to tie your hair into a bun and let some curls flow down on your face.  Don’t sport a lot of accessories – keep them to a minimum so you do not look overly tacky.  If you have long hair, then your options for the perfect hairstyle are much wider. Two of the more popular looks are a bun and a chic ponytail (keep the ponytail on one side and sport it with a few clips and accessories).

If you don’t like tying your hair with any clips or bands, then just let your hair be as it is. For example, you could leave it open and slightly part it sideways. Then put a few elegant hair accessories in strategic locations and you’ll be ready to go!  For more expert tips and advice for wedding hair styles, check out this link to read more.
