Special Occasion & Wedding Make-Up

Everyone wants to look amazing for any special event or date. Treating your eyes to a fresh look and your hands to a french manicure is great for any special occasion

Having professional-looking make up is easier than you think - helping you to feel confident and looking your best.

You'll also want to make sure that your make-up lasts all day and doesn't need too much touching up during the day.

Make Up for the Mother of the Bride

For a special look for your daughters wedding day, you'll want to start with a good foundation to give an even tone to your skin.  Then apply a loose face powder to cut out any shine.  Using a brush, apply some blusher to your cheekbones.Don't overlook thinking ahead for the mother of the brides skin and makeup

If you're worried about a few fine lines on your face and around your eyes, there are plenty of beauty balms that you can apply that will help firm up your skin and even them out - just make sure you try it on your skin several days before.

For glamorous eyes, first start with a little under eye concealer, to cover up any darker patches.  Add a little eye liner to define your eyes, then your favorite eye shadow, finishing off with a good application of mascara (or treat yourself to false lashes for a stunning look), preferably water proof, especially if you're likely to shed a few tears.

For more mature skin, spend a few weeks deep moisturising your skin - if you can, treat yourself to a facial in the week before the wedding.

For that all over body finish, give yourself a treat and polish up your nails or have a manicure - it'll really boost your confidence.  For a summer wedding, or when wearing sandals, don't forget your feet & toes, perhaps have a pedicure at the same time?

The final touch is to glam up your lips with a little lip gloss or lipstick - do make sure that you have chosen the right shade to match your dress or outfit.  Gently apply lipliner, smudging it a little, before applying your lipstick.

Don't forget to pop a few items in your bag so that you can touch up your look during the day, and add a handkerchief for any tearful moments.

If your daughter is treating herself to a professional make-up artist, you may wish to treat yourself too in a calm and relaxed environment, after all those hectic preparations.

After all, if you are relaxed, you'll help everyone else to stay calm too!
