Wedding poems for mothers are always a big hit - brides reading a really lovely poem to their mom on their wedding day!

Your special day is a fitting day to pay tribute to your mother - to remember all the love and sacrifice that's gone into make this day possible.

Of course, it's not possible to put all your thoughts and feelings easily into words, which is why wedding poems for mothers are so helpful, as they capture something of the power of love and emotion.

Whilst there are several poems available on the internet (just type in "free mother of the bride poems"), why not try and write your own few words?

Some people make the mistake of thinking that poetry should rhyme, but really almost anything you write can become a poem.

Of course, some people find that it helps to make it rhyme, as this can help them think of the words and lines that follow.

Here's a few examples, of wedding poems for mothers that rhyme (well, at least a little...):

Today is the special day mum, we thought would never come,
and I want to say thank you, for caring for me for so long.

You are simply amazing, the best of the bunch,
always right there when it comes to the crunch.

You've been there for sickness, for doubts and for tears,
faithfully loving and caring through the years.

So thank you, to you, mum, loving in every way, for giving me life and caring each day.

It won't be the same mum,
I'm married today,

but we'll still care for each other,
in all the best ways.

I'll always love you,
that you must know,

that's it for now mum,
let's get on with this show!

It may take a few days to come up with the right words, but whatever you write will mean so much to your mom. Yes, coming up with wedding poems for mothers is not easy, but your mom will love it so much that the payoff makes it absolutely worthwhile.
