Trends for Spring Wedding Colors

Spring Wedding ColorsNow that spring is finally here (in my neck of the woods, at least), it won’t be long before the wedding season is piquing.  Spring is definitely “wedding season” because the weather is warm and nature’s colors are vibrant, and as such incorporating some fabulous spring wedding colors into your ensemble can make your big day even better.  The purpose of today’s post is to help shed some light on some spring colors that will make your wedding ceremony come to life.

The most popular spring wedding colors are lighter and soft.  They include white, ivory, yellow, light blue, pastel green, sage, pink, lavender, mocha and periwinkle.  Lighter spring colors are usually preferred, especially for outdoor weddings, because the lighter colors do not absorb as much heat as darker colors do.

One fabulous attribute of spring wedding colors is that they can be mixed and matched relatively easily.  As most of them are soft colors, it’s super easy and elegant to add a touch of color to the wedding gown, for example, coordinated with the color palette of the bridesmaids’ dresses and groomsmen outfits.  Some examples of excellent 2-color combos include ivory with light blue, lavender with yellow, light blue with mocha, and pink with green to name just a few.

Even some 3 color combos can work extremely well – for example pink, ivory and sage, or lavender, pastel green and ivory.  When it comes to combining spring wedding colors, just use common sense as you’ll be able to tell which combinations look good and which ones do not.

Whichever spring colors you choose, you have many possibilities in terms of incorporating them into the ceremony.  Obviously wedding outfits like the bridal gown, bridesmaids’ dresses, the mother of the bride dress, etc., should display a nice spring color palette that ties in with the overall theme and color scheme of the ceremony and reception.

Some of the elements of the overall décor that you will want to synergize with from a color perspective include the wedding favors, the centerpieces and the wedding flowers.  Regarding the floral arrangement, seasonal flowers featuring your chosen spring colors for the ceremonial décor, the bridal bouquet and the centerpieces are always a great option for a spring wedding.  Your spring wedding theme can even be incorporated into things like the wedding invitations, so plan ahead!

As you can see, getting married in the springtime is an awesome choice, because the various spring wedding colors that can be incorporated into the overall theme and décor can add an incredible amount of vibrancy to the ceremony.  Just plan ahead, and use common sense, and you can have the spring wedding of your dreams.  Good luck!
